Wood burning

Still thousands of villagers in the area outside the cities (but also suprisingly many inside the cities) relays only on wood for their space heating. Most of the wood heat goes directly out the chimney due to bad combustion. This combined with badly insulated houses, makes the winters feel like a long, cold and unproductive season, where many people spend as much time as possible in their bed.
